Laity Lodge

I am working on my photography skills, as well as learning how to edit favorite shots. During much of our time at Laity Lodge this summer, I carried around my phone/camera. There was no WiFi, so I wasn’t “distracted by distractions” . . . I was just using my camera to capture as much of the beauty— large scale and small details —as I could. There is so much to pay attention to. It could almost cause overload in one’s heart, but instead everything I saw just enlarged my heart and increased my joy. These photos are just a smidge of the goodness . . . I haven’t editing any people photos; community life is another Laity Lodge gift.

Playing around with editing photos is also fun. Maybe next year I won’t appreciate how I edited these Laity Lodge photos, but right now the learning curve is fun and satisfying.
